Duphalac syrup is manufactured by Abbott Laboratories (Pakistan). The main ingredient present in Duphalac syrup is lactolose. It makes the stool softer and easier to pass, by drawing water into the bowel. It is not absorbed into your body. Duphalac syrup interacts with other different drugs like Thiazides, Steroids, Amino glycosides, Amphotericin B.
During the treatment with laxatives, you should drink sufficient amounts of fluids. If you have diabetes and are treated for hepatic encephalopathy, your dose of lactulose will be higher.
