Ternelin 4mg is a prescribed medication containing tizanidine as its active ingredient. This medication is utilized for the management of a condition known as spasticity, characterized by muscle stiffness and tightness.

Spasticity can manifest due to various factors, including spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, stroke, and certain medications used in Parkinson's disease treatment.

Tizanidine, the active component in Ternelin Tab, exerts its therapeutic effect by inducing muscle relaxation. This is achieved by inhibiting the action of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), a neurotransmitter in the brain responsible for calming the nervous system. By blocking GABA, tizanidine assists in relieving muscle spasticity, thereby enhancing patient comfort and mobility.
