Uses

Primary Use:

Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis.

Also Used For:

Acute musculoskeletal pain, back pain, sprains/strains, menstrual pain and short-term dental pain.

Who May Benefit:

Patients with inflammatory joint or musculoskeletal pain when an NSAID is appropriate.

Warnings & interactions

Warnings:

Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration. Prolonged/high-dose use can increase gastrointestinal, kidney and cardiovascular risks. Avoid combining with other NSAIDs unless advised.

Avoid If:

Active stomach/intestinal ulcer or bleeding, previous serious NSAID allergy, severe kidney/liver/heart disease, or NSAID-triggered asthma. Avoid during the third trimester of pregnancy.

Interactions:

Other NSAIDs/aspirin, anticoagulants such as warfarin, corticosteroids, ACE inhibitors/ARBs, diuretics, lithium, methotrexate and some antihypertensive medicines.
