Primary Use:
Inflammatory and allergic disorders; selected autoimmune and rheumatologic conditions.
Also Used For:
Rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, angioedema, asthma and other steroid-responsive conditions.

Patients requiring systemic corticosteroid therapy under medical supervision.
Warnings & interactions
Warnings:
May increase infection risk, blood glucose and blood pressure; prolonged use may cause adrenal suppression, osteoporosis, weight gain and other corticosteroid effects. Do not stop prolonged therapy suddenly.
Avoid If:
Allergy to betamethasone; untreated systemic infections require medical assessment before use. Extra caution is needed with diabetes, tuberculosis, liver disease or other significant medical conditions.
Interactions:
NSAIDs, diabetes medicines, anticoagulants, certain anticonvulsants, live vaccines and other immunosuppressive medicines.
