Warnings & interactions
Warnings:
Rinse the mouth after nebulisation to reduce the risk of oral thrush. Long-term/high-dose use may rarely cause systemic corticosteroid effects. Do not use it as the sole treatment for an acute asthma attack.
Avoid If:
Known allergy to beclometasone. Acute severe bronchospasm/asthma attacks require a fast-acting reliever rather than Clenil alone.
Interactions:
Other corticosteroids and medicines that strongly affect steroid metabolism may increase systemic effects. Tell the healthcare professional about all inhaled, oral or injectable steroids.
