Warnings & interactions

Warnings:

Accidental overdose of iron-containing products can be dangerous, especially in children. Use only as directed. Contains aspartame and polyols, which may have laxative effects if consumed excessively.

Avoid If:

Hemochromatosis, hemosiderosis, iron overload disorders, non–iron deficiency anemia, hypersensitivity to iron, Vitamin C, or Vitamin B12.

Interactions:

Calcium, magnesium, zinc supplements, tetracyclines, quinolone antibiotics, levothyroxine, bisphosphonates, penicillamine, levodopa, and eltrombopag may reduce iron absorption or be affected by iron. Separate dosing when possible.
