Warnings & interactions
Warnings:
Monitor blood calcium levels; maintain adequate calorie intake; use under physician supervision.
Avoid If:
Allergy to ingredients, hypercalcemia (high calcium), abnormal amino acid metabolism.
Interactions:
• Calcium supplements ↑ calcium levels • Tetracycline/quinolone antibiotics ↓ absorption • Iron/fluoride products ↓ absorption • Digoxin/cardiac glycosides may increase arrhythmia risk.
Common side effects
Hypercalcaemia., Usually well tolerated; possible hypercalcemia (high blood calcium), mild gastrointestinal discomfort.
