Uses
Primary Use:
Edema (fluid retention/swelling) associated with heart failure or kidney disease.
Also Used For:
High blood pressure (hypertension).

Warnings & interactions
Warnings:
May cause dehydration, low potassium, low sodium, dizziness, and electrolyte imbalance. Monitor kidney function and electrolytes.

Allergy to metolazone, severe kidney failure, severe dehydration, or inability to urinate unless advised by a doctor.
Interactions:
Other diuretics (e.g., furosemide), lithium, digoxin, insulin/antidiabetic drugs, blood pressure medicines. Risk of electrolyte imbalance may increase.
