Warnings & interactions
Warnings:
Use only as directed by a healthcare professional, particularly because it is an injectable medicine. Long-term or high-dose vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) can itself cause peripheral neuropathy, including numbness and tingling. Allergic reactions can occur; seek urgent medical attention for difficulty breathing, facial swelling, or severe rash. Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, liver disease, or a history of vitamin B12-related blood disorders.
Avoid If:
You have a known allergy or hypersensitivity to thiamine, pyridoxine, cyanocobalamin, or another ingredient in the injection. Do not use it for routine supplementation without medical advice, especially for prolonged periods or repeated injections. Avoid unnecessary prolonged/high-dose use because excessive B6 can cause nerve damage.
Interactions:
Levodopa: Pyridoxine (vitamin B6) can reduce the effectiveness of levodopa when levodopa is used without a dopa-decarboxylase inhibitor. Chloramphenicol: May interfere with the blood-related response to vitamin B12 in some patients. Other vitamin B-containing supplements can increase total B6/B12 exposure; avoid taking multiple high-dose B-vitamin products without medical advice.
