Nitronal Injection contains nitroglycerin (glyceryl trinitrate), a potent vasodilator. It works by releasing nitric oxide, which relaxes vascular smooth muscle, leading to venous and arterial dilation. This reduces preload and afterload, improves coronary blood flow, and decreases myocardial oxygen demand. It is used in acute cardiac emergencies such as acute angina pectoris, acute heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, and during/after cardiac procedures.
