Warnings & interactions

Warnings:

Risk of suicidal thoughts (early therapy), metabolic syndrome, weight gain, sedation, serotonin syndrome

Avoid If:

Allergy to olanzapine/fluoxetine, MAOI use (within 14 days), severe hepatic impairment, narrow-angle glaucoma, uncontrolled diabetes

Interactions:

• MAO inhibitors → serotonin syndrome risk • Alcohol → increased CNS depression • CNS depressants → sedation • Antihypertensives → hypotension • CYP1A2 inhibitors (fluvoxamine) ↑ olanzapine levels
