Risk of suicidal thoughts (young adults), serotonin syndrome, withdrawal symptoms if stopped abruptly
Avoid If:
Allergy to sertraline/SSRIs, MAOI use within 14 days, severe liver disease without supervision
Interactions:
• MAO inhibitors → serotonin syndrome risk • NSAIDs/anticoagulants → bleeding risk ↑ • Triptans → serotonin syndrome • Alcohol → CNS depression • Other SSRIs/SNRIs → serotonin toxicity
