Warnings & interactions
Warnings:
May cause low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) when used with insulin or other anti-diabetic medicines. Can lead to lactic acidosis (rare but serious) due to metformin, especially in people with kidney problems. Use with caution if you have kidney disease, liver disease, heart failure, or severe dehydration. May cause vitamin B12 deficiency with long-term use (metformin component). Stop temporarily before major surgery or certain imaging tests using contrast dye (as advised by doctor).
Avoid If:
You are allergic to sitagliptin, metformin, or any ingredients in the tablet. You have severe kidney impairment or significantly reduced kidney function. Interactions:
