Warnings & interactions
Warnings:
Prescription-only medicine. Avoid transfer of gel to women and children through skin contact. Wash hands after application and cover the application site with clothing after drying. May increase risk of prostate enlargement, elevated red blood cell count, and cardiovascular complications in susceptible patients.
Avoid If:
Prostate cancer, male breast cancer, hypersensitivity to testosterone, or use in women and children unless specifically prescribed.
Interactions:
Anticoagulants (warfarin), insulin, oral antidiabetic drugs, corticosteroids, and other hormone therapies may require dose adjustments.
