Primary Use:

Maintenance treatment of asthma and COPD.

Also Used For:

Prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm and reduction of COPD exacerbations in selected patients.

Who May Benefit:

Patients with persistent asthma symptoms, frequent use of rescue inhalers, or moderate-to-severe COPD.

Warnings & interactions

Warnings:

Not intended for immediate relief of acute asthma attacks. Rinse mouth after use to reduce the risk of oral fungal infection (thrush).

Avoid If:

Acute severe asthma attacks requiring emergency treatment or allergy to fluticasone, salmeterol, or inhaler components.

Interactions:

Beta-blockers, ketoconazole, ritonavir, other LABAs, and certain antidepressants may increase adverse effects or reduce effectiveness.
