Also Used For:
Combination therapy in patients already taking sitagliptin and metformin separately.

Warnings & interactions
Warnings:
May rarely cause lactic acidosis, a serious condition associated with metformin. Kidney function should be monitored regularly.
Avoid If:
Type 1 diabetes. Severe kidney impairment.
Interactions:
Insulin and sulfonylureas (increased risk of hypoglycemia). Alcohol (increased risk of lactic acidosis). Cimetidine.
