Warnings & interactions
Warnings:
Use cautiously in elderly patients, glaucoma risk, enlarged prostate, urinary retention, liver/kidney disease, and psychiatric illness.
Avoid If:
Closed-angle glaucoma, urinary retention, bowel obstruction, allergy to procyclidine.
Interactions:
Antipsychotics, antihistamines, antidepressants, other anticholinergics, alcohol, and sedatives may increase side effects such as drowsiness, confusion, and dry mouth.
Common side effects
Dry mouth, blurred vision, dilated pupils, constipation, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, confusion, hallucinations (especially in elderly), urinary retention.
