Warnings & interactions
Warnings:
Take exactly as prescribed; swallow the CR tablet whole and do not crush or chew it. Do not stop suddenly, as withdrawal symptoms may occur; the dose usually needs gradual reduction. Monitor for worsening mood, agitation, or suicidal thoughts, especially when starting treatment or changing the dose. Avoid alcohol and use caution with driving if drowsy or dizzy. Seek urgent medical attention for symptoms of serotonin syndrome, such as fever, agitation, sweating, tremor, or muscle stiffness.
Avoid If:
- You have a known allergy to paroxetine. - You are taking an MAO inhibitor or have taken one within the required washout period.
