Glyset contain an active ingredient glimepiride. It  used to  lower blood glucose by stimulating the release of insulin from pancreatic beta cells. This is used as   oral by the  patients of diabetic type 2.

Glyset tablet increases the secretion of insulin from the pancreas and regulates the release of glucose from the liver. This medicine is not recommended to use in pregnancy and breastfeeding women unless necessary. The medicine should be taken orally with breakfast or with  the first meal of the day. Adequate amount of water should be consumed while taking the glyset tablets. This medicine may cause sleepiness in patients and the patients may feel low and lazy.Incase of any side effect consult your doctor immediately.

  • Take the medicine according to prescription.

  • Symptoms like dizziness, confusion, increased heartbeat, tremor and sweating after taking the medication should be reported immediately.
  • It causes allergic skin reactions when exposed to the sun. Take precautionary skin protection measures while going out into the sun if you are taking this medicine.
