Cefspan is used for the treatment of bacterial infections of the ear, nose or sinuses (such as sinusitis), urinary system (such as bladder and kidney infections), throat infections (such as tonsillitis, pharyngitis) and lungs (such as bronchitis, pneumonia).

Cefixime works by stopping the growth of bacterial cell wall which eventually leads to the death of the bacteria.

Cefspan Syrup 30 ml belongs to a group of cephalosporin antibiotics. It is used to treat susceptible organisms (bacteria)-caused infections of the ear, nose, sinuses (sinusitis), throat (tonsillitis, pharyngitis), chest and lungs (bronchitis, pneumonia) and urinary system (cystitis and kidney infections).

• Take this medication by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor, usually once a day. 
• In children, this medication may also be taken twice a day (every 12 hours). Shake the bottle well before each dose.
• The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment. In children, the dose is also based on weight.
