Recommended Dosage

  • Normal Dose: 250 mg three times daily
  • Severe Cases: 500 mg three times daily
  • Ages 1 month to 1 year: 62.5 mg every 8 hours, doubled in severe cases.
  • Ages 1 to 5 years: 125 mg every 8 hours, doubled in severe cases.

Usage Information for Maxil Dry Syrup:

  • Administer through direct IV push in 3-4 minutes or via IV intermittent infusion lasting 30-60 minutes after adding to Dextrose 5% or 0.9% NaCl infusion fluid.
  • Refrain from using Maxil suspension 125 mg/60 mL if there's a history of allergy to penicillin and cephalosporin antibiotics. Inform your doctor about asthma, liver or kidney issues, Mononucleosis, or Gonorrhea before taking this medication.
  • Take with or without food, following your doctor's advice.
  • Follow your doctor's instructions regarding usage.
  • Does not induce drowsiness.
